Yep this is making me so happy...it’s the annual Aboriginal Voices Christmas bake-off,
so the whole deal is that Doug and I have this how shall I say "friendly competition" revolving around the holiday baking that we have all come to love...you know chocolate pinwheels, tarts, coffee cakes, the dreaded fruit cake, and well what ever else comes to mind. a couple years in a row CFRC's own Tuen host of "the sweet hearafter" brought a delicacy around his family's home at the holidays...his Moms Spring rolls that is spring rolls with a capital SPRING, they are tops in my book and will go down in the Voices bake off as being the brightest of stars in the history of the bake-off.
I am sure there will be something requiring the cranberry as the co-host Doug has something of a fanatical, practically monkey on his back over the little red orb known as the Cranberry.
The date has been set for dec 12, 2006 the participants invited. We are hoping to have Jeff from CFRC's "Lonesome whistle", Joanne, Ed from Retrospect, Doug and I will be there as well...
Drop a line if you have little traditions that you like to do around the holidays...stuff you like to bake, make or participate in.
Tell us about the first sip of hot cocoa after coming in from skating out on the pond...
That’s all for now...mark in the calendar
the Voices out...
