It was a solo evening for the Doug tonight. I was away on business...attending a workshop held at the Ryerson School of Journalism, it was a co-host with both
First Nations Technical Institute Indigenous Communications Department and Ryerson, The workshop entitled
"Backwash on Ipperwash: Did the news media do its job?" and was mainly focused on the lack of accurate journalism surrounding Ipperwash as well as other first nations issues. The Panal discussion group consisted of Sam George(Dudley George's Brother), Peter Edwards author of the book
"One Dead Indian", John Miller Professor of Journalism at Ryerson, and Bud Whiteye reporter, publisher of local newspaper of his Walpole Island First Nation.
