last nights show...

spoke about the land claims, blocking access and well how come it takes 10 plus years to review a valid land claim in canada?

oh yah!!! seems that Ralph Fiennes is making himself a movie...the directorial debut for the brit actor turned director is going to make a movie about an Inuit girl that is shipped to a Winnipeg convent to become yes you guessed it a nun...not that there is anything wrong with that...

anyways he is in the process of casting for his movie...and he is looking for authenticity can you believe it...seems that maybe Mel Gibson is having some positive influnce in the Hollywood. I could tell you more...but you can just take a look at the link...thanks for stopping by have a go of it...and while your here check out the voices

FNTI launches new Public Relations program...

Indigenous Communications at First Nations Technical Institute on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, east of Belleville, Ont. and west of Deseronto is changing its three-year journalism diploma program and, in September, adding a new one-year public relations program.

“Both programs are about telling our own stories,” says new coordinator Dan David. “Both will have a strong new emphasis on delivering those stories on-line. As always, we’ll emphasize excellence and encourage students to take stories rooted in their own communities to the world at large.”

David says, “If you know prospective students…working adults who need credentials, or recent high school grads… who want hands-on Aboriginal journalism or public relations training with lots of internship time in real world media jobs…send them to us.”

Graduates receive credentials from FNTI’s partner institutions, a Journalism-Aboriginal Profile diploma from Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, or a Public Relations certificate from Loyalist College of Applied Arts and Technology.

“Our full-time programs, in which intensive class sessions alternate with internship placements, are ideal for people who don’t want to leave their home communities for a year or three at a time,” says David, whose background includes APTN, CBC and a wide variety of both public relations and reporting work
Call Wendy Sero at 1-800-267-0637, ext. 160 or email wendyr@66.165.208.228 to receive brochures for both programs and application forms. Prospective students are encouraged to check out Indigenous Communications at FNTI on line at 66.165.208.228 or at FNTI Blog

Work-mate went and got himself green

yes this is right...he has asked that I dont mention his name...and I shall not...

anyways...he says the one day I think I want to purchase one of them their Honda Hybrids...and I said being a Honda man my own self...that is owesome...so the work mate and his misses and kids purchased the 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid...

I have just taken an exciting first ride in the car...and this car is cool...electronics that tell you all sorts of interesting data...MPG, battery recharging, engine power, battery power...all them really cool Geeky things that the work mate loves...

its every thing a Honda will always be...nice looking comfortable, economical, and fun to drive/ride

good going...maybe soon we can get the rest of the workplace (FNTI) to convert to all things honda...you know they are putting together a Jet airplane...we do have an Aviation program...I think this is a match made in the heavens....

ps
check out the Honda hybrid according to an owner

And the Aboriginal Recording Of The Year goes to:

Leela Gilday and the album is "sedzé"

Congradulations to not only Leela, but also to the many First Nations artist's that were nominated for the much sought after award.

From what I understand Leela it was a good thing that you were not nominated in that same catagory as the Nelly Furtado...cleaned up at the awards night. On the other hand you might have been just the women to put that "loose" girl in here place!!!

anyways later

I have to run
