Sarah Holmes was in the house...

you say "who is this Sarah Holmes" and "what is she doing in your house."

Sarah is a Trainee at the mighty CFRC 101.9 and she is sitting in on the show to you know get a hold of the technical ropes.

check out the show...

also if you have not already, goto the CFRC.ca and check out the CRTC shenanigans...seems they are going to be giving away 101.9 frequency in Ottawa, if this happens we could be seeing frequency drops in and around the the CFRC broadcasting area. we need the comments from our listeners to let the CRTC know how it would effect "you" our listener ship...

again that link is with all the instructions CFRC.ca

thanks

CFRC potentially affected by new Ottawa Station

cfrc.ca

Are you a CFRC 101.9 FM listener in the areas surrounding Westport, Newboro, Sharbot Lake, Brockville, Charleston Lake, Prescott, Perth, Smiths Falls, Merrickville or Lanark? The CRTC is currently considering submissions for a new radio station using the 101.9 frequency in the Ottawa area, and some of the proposed new stations could interfere with your ability to hear CFRC in your area. There are 6 applicants vying for the 101.9 frequency (#'s 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 10), each operating at different power levels. Here is a link to the public notice. If this concerns you, we encourage you to write to the CRTC regarding this situation. You can find instructions on how to do so here. This is a public process and your opinions will be considered by the CRTC, which will be accepting comments/interventions on these applications up until Friday April 18th. You can submit your comments electronically here (you will need to click on the button in the left hand column labeled 2008-1), or you can mail them to the CRTC at this address:

Secretary General
CRTC
Ottawa, Ontario
K1A 0N2

Comments/interventions must be received by Friday April 18th, 2008

Please be sure to read all directions. Seems the CRTC likes to make things complicated

Don Ross playing for Bob Lovelace

Hey Guys,

dropping a quick line let everyone know about the Benefit concert being held at "time to laugh" comedy club princess st Kingston Ontario. Don Ross is playing in support of the Bob Lovelace. If you don't know Bob Lovelace is being held as something of a political prisoner, he and his people of the Ardoch First Nation stood up against a mining company that has plans or designs if you will about pulling the uranium out of an on going land claim.

if you are in the area please stop down to the "time to laugh" and see Don Ross play, you will never forget it...also you would be helping the cause.

Voices anyone?
