The CRTC is currently considering submissions for a new radio station using the 101.9 frequency in the Ottawa area, and some of the proposed new stations could interfere with your ability to hear CFRC in your area. There are 6 applicants vying for the 101.9 frequency (#'s 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 10), each operating at different power levels. Here is a link to the public notice. If this concerns you, we encourage you to write to the CRTC regarding this situation. You can find instructions on how to do so here. This is a public process and your opinions will be considered by the CRTC, which will be accepting comments/interventions on these applications up until Friday April 18th.
